Region 9

HEBER CITY, Utah-Jaxton Anderson posted 20 points and 7 rebounds, earning Bank of Utah Offensive Player of the Game honors from Ty&Ty, as the Wasatch Wasps bested Salem Hills 59-46 Friday at the Nest in Region 9 boys basketball play. Ryker Richards had 17 points for the Skyhawks in the loss.

Louis Hoffman added 3 blocked shots for the Wasps, earning Point S Tire Defensive Player of the Game Honors from Ty&Ty.

The Wasps improved to 6-9 on the season and 1-0 in Region 9 play. Wasatch returns to action Tuesday by visiting the Provo Bulldogs for a 7:00 pm tip-0ff as region play ensues.

Girls Basketball

Region 9

HEBER CITY, Utah-Madi King had 12 points and the Salem Hills Skyhawks edged Wasatch 45-43 Friday in Region 9 girls basketball play at The Nest. Chiara Serre had 10 points for the Wasps in the loss. The Skyhawks improved to 8-5 and 1-0 in Region 9 play. The loss drops Wasatch to 4-10 and 0-1 in Region 9 play. The Wasps return to action Tuesday by visiting Provo.
