Wasatch Football’s Season Ends In Overtime At Lehi

LEHI, Utah-Jackson Brousseau threw a 7-yard touchdown pass to Jaxon Christensen in overtime as the No. 7 Lehi Pioneers edged No. 10 Wasatch 35-34 Friday in the second round of the 5-A state playoffs.

The subsequently successful extra point from Zane Goodrich won the game as on the first possession of overtime, Wasatch took a 34-28 lead following a 1-yard touchdown run from quarterback Quezon Villa.

The PAT attempt from Ashton Southam was blocked. On the subsequent possession, Lehi’s heroics won the game.

The Pioneers next advance to play No. 2 seed Timpview Friday at 6:00 pm in the state quarterfinals.

The Wasps’ season ends with a record of 7-4.

Villa had three touchdown runs and threw a pair of scoring passes to Jarinn Kalama in the loss for the Wasps.
