Wasatch Cross Country Concludes Season At State Meet

ROSE PARK, Utah-Wednesday, Wasatch boys and girls cross country concluded their seasons at the state meet at Rose Park.

In the girls’ competition, Springville won the state title as the Red Devils won their fourth consecutive girls cross country state crown. This was Springville’s fifth all-time state title. The Red Devils won their initial girls cross country state championship in 1993.

The Red Devils posted a score of 44 with Wasatch finishing eighth with a score of 273.

The individual girls’ state championship was won by Timpanogos junior Raygan Peterson in a time of 18:15.00

The boys state title was won by Mountain View with the Bruins capturing their 16th all-time state title in the event.

This was the Bruins’ first state title since 2011.

Mountain View posted a score of 88 to capture the state title. Wasatch placed 13th with a score of 303.

Lehi senior Jefferson McMullin posted a time of 15:06.80 to capture the individual state title.
