SALT LAKE CITY-Jo Adell posted the game-winning 2-run RBI single in the 9th Inning as the Salt Lake Bees edged Sacramento 10-9 Thursday at Smith’s Ballpark in Triple A-West play.

Preston Palmeiro’s 9th Inning home run pulled the Bees to within 9-8, setting the stage for Adell’s heroics.

Adell added a 2-run homer in the 5th Inning for the Bees, his 18th home run of the season in the win.

Jose Quijada earned the win on the mound for the Bees, improving to 3-1 on the season. Salt Lake improved to 27-27 with the victory. The Bees have reached .500 after being 0-4 and later 1-6 in May.

Joe McCarthy and Arismendy Alcantara homered in the loss for the River Cats, who fell to 23-31.

The Bees and River Cats meet again at Smith’s Ballpark Friday at 6:35 pm.

Pioneer League

OGDEN, Utah-Clay Fisher, Zachery Almond and Skylar Black each homered as the Missoula Paddleheads bested Ogden 15-9 Thursday at Lindquist Field in Pioneer League play. The Paddleheads belted out 26 hits on the evening as Missoula improved to 29-12 with the victory.

Palmer Wenzel eared the win on the mound for the Paddleheads.

Pavin Parks, Raul Shah and Kyle Kaufman each homered in the loss for the Raptors. Ogden fell to 27-14 on the season with the loss.

Missoula and Ogden meet again Friday at 7:00 pm at Lindquist Field.
