SALT LAKE CITY-Thursday, Utah men’s basketball ensued in its busy week by signing former Wasatch Academy star center Keba Keita.
The 6-8 225-pound Keita is a near consensus four-star recruit and a Top 100 (No. 84) recruit by ESPN.
In National Interscholastic Basketball Conference (Wasatch Academy’s conference), Keita averaged 11.6 points and 9.5 rebounds per game for the Tigers.
Keita led the NIBC by shooting 67 percent from the field last season.
Keita chose the Utes over UNLV, Utah Tech, Washington and Clemson.
Keita also played high school basketball at American Heritage School of American Fork before playing at Wasatch Academy.
