Monday, Utah football fifth-year cornerback Elijah Davis was named as the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week for his contributions in the Utes’ 49-25 win over Cincinnati last Saturday.

The native of Winter Park, Fla. recorded a pick six, 0.5 tackles for a loss and a broken up pass in the victory over the Bearcats.

Davis and Utah teammates return to action Saturday by hosting No. 8 BYU in the latest installment of The Holy War at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
