SALT LAKE CITY-Jacob Amaya homered and the Sugar Land Space Cowboys doubled up Salt Lake 4-2 Tuesday to start a six-game Pacific Coast League series at Smith’s Ballpark.
Colton Gordon posted three strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Space Cowboys. Gordon improved to 3-0 on the season with the victory over the Bees.
Chad Wallach recorded two RBI in the loss for Salt Lake.
Following Tuesday’s results, the Space Cowboys improved to 36-22 on the season while the Bees, losers of five of their last seven, fell to 25-32.
The squads return to action Wednesday at 6:35 pm at Smith’s Ballpark.
