SALT LAKE CITY-Billy Hamilton came through with the game-winning 2-RBI single in the top of the 9th Inning and Kyle Lewis homered and added an RBI single and the Tacoma Rainiers outgunned Salt Lake 13-11 Tuesday at Smith’s Ballpark in Pacific Coast League play.

The shootout featured 24 net runs and 33 net hits.

Riley O’Brien improved to 1-1 on the season by earning the win for Tacoma as the Rainiers improved to 8-17 on the season. O’Brien posted two strikeouts in two innings of work on the mound for Tacoma.

Dillon Thomas, David MacKinnon, Kean Wong and Monte Harrison each drove in a pair of runs for the Bees in the loss, who fell to 12-13 with the loss.

The Bees and Rainiers return to action Wednesday at 6:35 pm at Smith’s Ballpark as the series ensues.
