TACOMA, Wash.-Samad Taylor homered and the Tacoma Rainiers edged the Salt Lake Bees 5-4 Wednesday in Pacific Coast League play at Cheney Stadium.
Levi Stoudt posted four strikeouts in 5.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Rainiers. Stoudt improved to 3-3 on the season in victory for Tacoma.
Jack López homered in the loss for the Bees.
Following Wednesday’s results, the Rainiers improved to 23-18 on the season while the Bees fell to 16-24.
The Bees and Rainiers return to action Thursday at 8:05 pm at Cheney Stadium for the third game in the series.
