Rainiers Down Bees Tuesday

TACOMA, Wash.-Spencer Packard and Tyler Locklear each homered and the Tacoma Rainiers edged Salt Lake 8-7 Tuesday in Pacific Coast League play at Cheney Stadium.

Trailing 7-6 in the bottom of the 9th Inning, the Rainiers obtained victory With Jonatan Clase scoring on a fielder’s choice and Cade Marlowe subsequently scoring on a bases-loaded walk for the game-winning run.

Joey Krehbiel posted two strikeouts in one inning of work to earn the win on the mound for the Rainiers.

Michael Stefanic, Keston Hiura and Jack López homered in the loss for the Bees.

Following Tuesday’s results, the Rainiers improved to 47-36 on the season while the Bees fell to 35-47.

The Bees and Rainiers return to action Wednesday at 7:05 pm for the third game of the series from Cheney Stadium.
