Pacific Coast League

ROUND ROCK, Texas-Jonah Bride homered and the Round Rock Express got past Salt Lake 5-4 Wednesday in Pacific Coast League play at Dell Diamond. Michel Otañez posted two strikeouts in one inning of work to earn the win on the mound for the Express. Jeimer Candelario and Josh Lowe homered in the loss for the Bees. Following Wednesday’s results, the Express improved to 21-32 and the Bees fell to 26-26. The squads return to action Thursday at 5:45 pm at Dell Diamond for the third game in the series. 

Pioneer League

OGDEN, Utah-Xavier Casserilla, Tyler Stone, William Bermudez and Joskar Feliciano homered and the Missoula PaddleHeads pounded Ogden 26-2 Wednesday in Pioneer League play at Lindquist Field. Ryan Wentz netted eight strikeouts in two innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the PaddleHeads. Chase Valentine and Cole Jordan each drove in runs in the loss for the Raptors. Following Wednesday’s results, the PaddleHeads improved to 4-4 and the Raptors fell to 3-5. The squads return to action Thursday at 6:35 pm at Lindquist Field for the third game in the series.
