ROUND ROCK, Texas-Denzer Guzman and Trey Mancini drove in two runs apiece and the Salt Lake Bees dismantled Round Rock 7-1 Tuesday at Dell Diamond.

George Klassen posted six strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bees.

Diego Castillo drove in a run in defeat for the Express.

Following Tuesday’s results, the Bees went over .500 for the first time this season at 26-25. The Express slumped to 20-32 in the loss.

The squads return to action Wednesday at 5:45 pm for the second game in the series at Dell Diamond.

Pioneer League

OGDEN, Utah-Carmine Lane and Hank Dodson drove in two runs apiece and the Ogden Raptors dismantled the Missoula PaddleHeads 9-3 Tuesday in Pioneer League play at Lindquist Field as Ogden won their home opener.

Nico Saltaformaggio recorded four strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Raptors.

Xavier Casserilla homered in the loss for Missoula. Following Tuesday’s results, the Raptors improved to 3-4 and the PaddleHeads slumped to 3-4.

The squads meet again Wednesday at 6:30 pm at Lindquist Field for the second game in the series.
