OKLAHOMA CITY-Miguel Vargas scored on a fielder’s choice in the bottom of the 11th Inning and the Oklahoma City Baseball Club outlasted Salt Lake 5-4 in 11 innings Saturday at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in Pacific Coast League play.
Vargas also homered in victory for Oklahoma City.
Jesse Hahn earned the win on the mound for Oklahoma City, improving to 1-0 on the season. Hahn’s contributions overcame a blown save by John Rooney.
Andy Blake and Jason Martin each drove in a run in the loss for the Bees.
Following Saturday’s results, the Bees fell to 11-20 while the Oklahoma City Baseball Club improved to 19-13.
Oklahoma City goes for the series win Sunday at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark while the Bees seek to salvage a series split. Opening pitch is 1:05 pm MDT.
