IRVING, Texas-Monday, BYU redshirt senior kicker Matthias Dunn was named as the Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week for his contributions to the Cougars’ 27-20 win over Arizona State last Saturday.

The former Wasatch High School star out of Heber City, Utah made field goals of 27 and 45 yards and all three of his PAT attempts against the Sun Devils.

Dunn has made 7 of his 8 field goal attempts on the season for the Cougars and all 31 of his PAT’s.

Dunn and his BYU teammates return to action Saturday at 10:00 am in hopes of defeating bitter rival Utah in The Holy War at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
