LOGAN, Utah-Monday, Utah State men’s basketball senior forward Justin Bean was named as the Mountain West Conference player of the week for his contributions for the Aggies last week.

In the Aggies’ loss to UC Davis and win over Richmond at Annapolis, Md., Bean posted 23 points and 10.5 rebounds per game.

This included a career-high 30 points and 13 rebounds while shooting just under 69 percent from the field in the 85-74 win over the Spiders Friday.

Bean also shot 57 percent (4-7) from behind the 3-point line last week.

Bean and his Aggies teammates return to action Thursday as they face Penn at the Myrtle Beach Classic at Conway, S.C.
