LAS VEGAS-Kenneth Lofton Jr. (10 points, 5 rebounds, 4-8 shooting) made a free throw in the closing seconds and the Utah Jazz edged the Dallas Mavericks 90-89 Saturday at the Pavilion on the campus of UNLV in Las Vegas Summer League play.
Cody Williams posted 21 points and 4 assists on 9-15 from the field and 3-6 behind the arc for the Jazz.
Brandon Williams led the Mavericks in the loss with 21 points and 5 assists.
The Jazz returns to action Monday at 8:00 pm against the Sacramento Kings at the Pavilion.
