Jaxson Robinson Declares For NBA Draft Tuesday; Dunson Added As New Assistant

PROVO, Utah-Tuesday afternoon, BYU men’s basketball start forward Jaxson Robinson announced his declaration for the NBA Draft.

On social media, Robinson expressed his love for God in his statements, as well as Cougar Nation, BYU coaching staff, trainers, teammates and professors.

Robinson averaged a team-best 14.2 points per game for the Cougars this past season, as well as 2.5 rebounds per contest.

The 2024 NBA Draft is slated for June 26 and 27 at Barclays Center of Brooklyn, N.Y.

In other BYU men’s basketball news Tuesday, head coach Kevin Young named Brandon Dunson as an assistant coach.

Dunson spent the last two seasons at Stanford as an assistant and has previously served in that capacity at Denver and Nevada.

Dunson is a native of Bloomington, Ill. and played professionally in the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional of Mexico. As a collegian, Dunson starred at Arizona State, SIU-Edwardsville, Wabash Valley CC (Ill.) and NCAA Division II Azusa Pacific.
