ROUND ROCK, Texas-Elier Hernandez homered and the Round Rock Express downed Salt Lake 8-5 Tuesday at Dell Diamond in Pacific Coast League play.
Yerry Rodríguez earned the win on the mound for the Express, posting three strikeouts in two innings of work.
Rodríguez was also attributed with a blown save for the Express, as was Danny Duffy.
Jason Martin homered in the loss for the Bees.
Following Tuesday’s results, the Express improved to 10-12 while the Bees, losers of 9 of their last 10, fell to 7-15 on the season.
The Bees and the Express return to action Wednesday at 6:05 pm at Dell Diamond as the series ensues.
