ST. GEORGE, Utah-Monday, Dixie State freshman place kicker Connor Brooksby was named the TicketSmart Western Athletic Conference Special Teams player of the week for his contributions to the Trailblazers’ 62-21 win over NCAA Division II Fort Lewis Saturday.

Brooksby, a former Pine View High School star, scored 14 of Dixie State’s 62 points in the victory over the Skyhawks.

Brooksby made all eight of his PAT attempts and two field goals, including an NCAA era-Dixie State record-tying 50-yard attempt.

Brooksby has made all 19 of his PAT attempts this season and has connected on 9 of 14 field goal attempts for the Trailblazers.

The Trailblazers conclude the season Saturday by hosting the No. 14 Missouri State Bears at Greater Zion Stadium.
