Thursday, BYU, Utah and Utah State football each placed representatives on the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy Watch List.
The Cougars are represented by senior offensive lineman Connor Pay, the Utes by sophomore safety Tao Johnson and the Aggies by junior long snapper Jacob Garcia.
This award is named in honor of 1996 Heisman Trophy winner, former Florida star quarterback Danny Wuerffel and is presented to the player who “best combines exemplary community service with athletic and academic achievement.”
On the field, Johnson posted five defensed passes and 1.5 tackles for a loss last season for the Utes.
Additionally, Thursday, BYU junior receiver Parker Kingston was named to the Paul Hornung Award watch list. This award is bestowed upon the most versatile player in college football by the Louisville Sports Commission.
