SOUTH JORDAN, Utah-Yolmer Sánchez homered and the Salt Lake Bees pummeled El Paso 12-4 Wednesday at The Ballpark at America First Square.
Samy Natera Jr. netted four strikeouts in two innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bees while improving to 5-0 on the season.
Jase Bowen, Will Wagner and Pablo Reyes each drove in a run in the loss for the Chihuahuas.
Entering Thursday’s third game of the series, the Bees improved to 18-22 and can achieve at least a series split with a win at The Ballpark at America First Square. El Paso slumped to 19-22 in the loss.
Opening pitch is slated for 6:35 pm.
