SALT LAKE CITY-Hunter Dozier homered twice and Charles LeBlanc also went yard as the Salt Lake Bees pounded Sacramento 15-2 Tuesday in Pacific Coast League play at Smith’s Ballpark.
Kenny Rosenberg netted five strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Salt Lake. Rosenberg is presently 4-2 on the season for the Bees.
Marco Luciano and Brett Wisely each drove in a run in the loss for the River Cats.
Following Tuesday’s results, the Bees improved to 12-21 while the River Cats fell to 21-13.
Salt Lake and Sacramento will have a swift turnaround as they meet again Wednesday at 12:05 pm at Smith’s Ballpark in Game 2 of the series.
