Bees Fall Back Under .500 In Sunday Loss To Rainiers

TACOMA, Wash.-Dominic Canzone, Samad Taylor and Luis Urías each homered and the Tacoma Rainiers routed Salt Lake 8-2 Sunday at Cheney Stadium in Pacific Coast League play.

Blas Castano posted 12 strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Rainiers, who secured the series split.

Cole Tucker homered in defeat for the Bees.

Following Sunday’s results, the Bees slumped back under .500, falling to 53-54. Meanwhile, the Raniers improved to 60-48.

The Bees return home Tuesday for a six-game series against the Las Vegas Aviators at Smith’s Ballpark. Opening pitch is at 6:35 pm.
