TACOMA, Wash.-Michael Stefanic and Jack López each homered and the Salt Lake Bees edged Tacoma 7-6 Wednesday at Cheney Stadium in Pacific Coast League play.
Tyler Thomas posted two strikeouts in one inning to earn the win on the mound for the Bees. This was his first victory of the season against four losses.
Leo Rivas, Jonatan Clase and Jason Vosler each homered in the loss for the Rainiers.
Following Wednesday’s results, the Bees improved to 36-47 while the Rainiers fell to 47-37.
The squads return to action Thursday at 6:35 pm at Smith’s Ballpark as action moves to Salt Lake City for the last three games of the series.
In honor of Independence Day, there will also be fireworks following the game.
