LAS VEGAS-Omar Martinez homered and the Salt Lake Bees downed Las Vegas 5-3 Thursday in Pacific Coast League play at Las Vegas Ballpark.
Huascar Ynoa posted two strikeouts in 2.2 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Salt Lake.
Henry Bolte homered in the loss for the Aviators.
Following Thursday’s results, the Bees, who have achieved at least a series split against the Aviators, improved to 11-13 on the season while the Aviators fell to 11-11.
Salt Lake can achieve the series win with a victory over the Aviators Friday. Opening pitch is slated for 8:05 pm at Las Vegas Ballpark.
