Bees Down Aviators Sunday To Achieve First Series Sweep Since 2019

LAS VEGAS-Jack López and Bryce Teodosio drove in two runs apiece and the Salt Lake Bees outlasted Las Vegas 9-8 in 10 innings Sunday at Las Vegas Ballpark in Pacific Coast League play.

Jason Martin scored the game-winning run in the top of the 10th via a wild pitch by the Aviators’ Gerardo Reyes.

José Marte posted four strikeouts in two innings to earn the win on the mound for Salt Lake.

Jordan Diaz, Armando Alvarez, Carlos Pérez and Colby Thomas homered in defeat for Las Vegas.

The Bees, by virtue of this sweep in the series, achieved their first series sweep since 2019.

Following Sunday’s results, Salt Lake improved to 44-51 while Las Vegas fell to 46-49.

The Bees return to action Tuesday at Smith’s Ballpark to commence a six-game series against the El Paso Chihuahuas. Opening pitch is slated for 6:35 pm.
