Bees Bounce Back With Saturday Victory Over Las Vegas

SALT LAKE CITY-David MacKinnon, Kean Wong, Chad Wallach and Monte Harrison each posted RBI in a productive 6th Inning as the Salt Lake Bees bested Las Vegas 5-1 Saturday at Smith’s Ballpark.

Las Vegas drew first blood in the 5th Inning when Mickey McDonald scored on a Wallach error for a 1-0 Aviators lead.

However, in the 6th Inning, the Bees built a 4-1 lead and used an insurance Michael Stefanic single in the 7th for the 5-1 victory.

Jake Kalish earned the win on the mound for the Bees, posting four strikeouts in two innings of work. Kalish improved to 2-0 on the season for Salt Lake.

The proverbial rubber match in the series occurs Sunday at Smith’s Ballpark at 1:05 pm MDT as the Aviators and Bees vie for the series victory.

Salt Lake and Las Vegas are presently each 6-5 on the season by virtue of this evening’s outcome.
