SALT LAKE CITY-Jordan Diaz homered and the Las Vegas Aviators blanked Salt Lake 7-0 Tuesday to commence a six-game Pacific Coast League series at Smith’s Ballpark.
Joe Boyle posted 12 strikeouts in 5.2 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Las Vegas.
Following Tuesday’s results, the Aviators improved to 55-53 while the Bees, losers of three straight, fell to 53-55.
The squads return to action Wednesday at 6:35 pm at Smith’s Ballpark.
