LAKE POINT, Utah-Monday, a woman was transported to the hospital after an early morning fire in Tooele County per authorities.
The fire started around 4:30 am at 7740 N. S.R. 36 per North Tooele Fire District Chief Randy Willden.
An individual driving to Salt Lake City noticed the blaze and turned around, calling 911 to report the fire, Willden confirmed.
A deputy who happened to be in the area got to the house within a minute, entering the building when an individual called 911, per Willden.
As of Monday afternoon, Willden did not know the woman’s condition.
The individual that helped the deputy had some burns on his hand but was treated and released by medical personnel at the scene.
The woman was the only person in the house, Willden said.
The home is about 100 feet away from a business the woman also owns, but the business was not damaged.
Crews were on the scene until Monday at 1:00 pm, Willden confirmed. At this time, the cause of the fire was still unknown but there is no sign of suspicious activity.
