WASATCH COUNTY, Utah-Late Thursday evening, Wasatch County Search & Rescue conducted a rescue of stranded snowmobilers near Strawberry Reservoir.

The records from Wasatch County SAR confirm that at 7:50 pm Thursday night, the snowmobilers, a male and a female in their 70’s, had been due to arrive with their group by dark.

When they did not arrive, SAR also received assistance from the Utah Department of Public Safety helicopter to locate them.

Upon their location, they were transferred to Heber City via helicopter.

The frigid conditions entailed temperatures as low as -12 degrees.

The party was finally located on the southwest side of Strawberry Reservoir in Squaw Creek Area.
