(Salt Lake City, UT) — Overall traffic deaths in Utah fell in 2025, reaching the lowest level since 2019, but teen fatalities nearly doubled. Preliminary data released yesterday by the Utah Department of Transportation and the Department of Public Safety show 264 people died on Utah roads last year, down from 277 in 2024. Motorcyclist deaths rose 32-percent compared with 2024. Meanwhile, 31 teens were killed on Utah roads, up from 18 the previous year.
