(Salt Lake City, UT) — A Utah state representative has resigned after prosecutors charged him with four felonies. Trevor Lee stepped down effective immediately after being charged with communications fraud, mortgage fraud, forgery and possession of a forgery writing device. Prosecutors allege Lee used fraudulent documents to obtain a one-million-dollar home loan. Lee said personal circumstances require his attention and prevent him from giving constituents the service they deserve.
