Utah Governor Gary Herbert Calls For Weekend of Prayer and Service in Utah March 20-22

SALT LAKE CITY-Utah Governor Gary Herbert called for a weekend of prayer and service in Utah March 20-22.

This is on the heels of a trying week in the Beehive State, featuring the accumulation of COVID-19 cases and a 5.7-magnitude earthquake striking the Salt Lake Valley Wednesday morning.

Herbert has tossed the gauntlet down to Utahns, asking all residents therein to pray for “guidance, comfort, patience and healing.”

Furthermore, Herbert exhorts Utahns to “perform one or more acts of service for someone in need of their help this weekend.”

Herbert asks these to be things done wherein contagions cannot be spread.

He suggested possible acts of service being leaving a treat on a neighbor’s doorstep or writing a note to an anxious friend.
