WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah-Thursday, West Valley City-based Harmons confirmed it will require unvaccinated employees to pay an extra fee for the company’s insurance.
Harmons, which has locations primarily in northern Utah but also in the St. George area, is following in the footsteps of Delta Airlines of Atlanta which charges unvaccinated employees an additional $200 monthly.
In a statement released Thursday, Harmons declares its primary concern is the “safety and well-being” of their associates.
In comments made on his “Direct Link: Live on-the-air with Governor Spencer Cox” statewide radio program earlier this month, Utah Republican Gov. Spencer J. Cox resisted making a statewide vaccine mandate for businesses in the Beehive State.
Cox called such decisions “unconstitutional.”
