SOUTH JORDAN, Utah-Per a press release issued by the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, The National Visitor Use Monitoring survey has been implemented.
The survey commenced October 1 and will continue through September 30, 2022.
Utah State University students are conducting the survey. Surveys will be completed in developed and dispersed recreation sites and along Forest Service roads.
The information provides forest managers with an estimate of visitors who recreate on national forest land.
It also provides information concerning their recreation activities and level of satisfaction.
This includes information pertaining to the Heber-Kamas District.
The information gathered will be used for forest and local community planning.
The survey gathers basic information and is voluntary.
Questions asked include where people recreate on forest land, how many traveled in a contingent, the length of stay on forest land, recreation sites visited and the level of satisfaction derived from visiting such sites.
All responses will remain confidential.
Visitors are encouraged to take time and complete the survey to provide an accurate representation of the types of recreation occurring in the Forest.
