SALT LAKE CITY-Per a Monday report, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has given US $2 million apiece to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the World Food Programme to help those who have been displaced because of the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.
This donation from the Salt Lake City-based faith will help an estimated 40,000 displaced families in the Slavic nation.
The Church’s donation to the WPF is anticipated to provide food for some 11,000 people worldwide over the course of four months.
