Texas Instruments Brings $11 Billion Investment; Jobs, To Utah

LEHI, Utah-A Wednesday announcement confirms Texas Instruments, a technology company known for mathematics tools for secondary school students, is building a new fabrication plant at Lehi.

The Dallas-based company will build its new plant next to its currently existing fabrication plant.

The new plant will be used to build 300-millimeter semi-conductors.

It will begin construction in 2023 with completion expected in 2026.

Reportedly, this new factory will bring in $11 billion in investment to the economy of The Beehive State.

Furthermore, an additional 800 jobs with Texas Instruments will be created with the new factory as well as thousands of indirect jobs.

Texas Instruments will also continue working with the Alpine School District to invest $9 million to improve opportunities for students.

Utah Gov. Spencer J. Cox applauded Texas Instrument’s decision to invest in Utah. Cox lauded the state’s “world-class business climate and exceptional workforce.”

Texas Instruments has operations in more than 30 countries worldwide and employs roughly 33,000 workers throughout the world.
