The photo of a student with a cake that read “Happy Kirkiversary” went viral after it was shared by angry members of the College Republicans. The Department of Public Safety says multiple threatening emails were sent to the university in an attempt to force a potentially dangerous police response on campus. Investigators say they were apparently sent by one person in an attempt to target the school.
