Saturday Statistics For COVID-19 In Utah

SALT LAKE CITY-Saturday, the latest numbers for COVID-19 cases in the Beehive State were released.

Presently, 6,101 Utahns have tested positive for COVID-19 which is an increase of 184 cases from the previous day. However, this is a decrease of 11 from the previous day’s net total.

143,294 Utahns have now been tested for COVID-19 which is an increase of 4,606 cases from Friday’s totals. Because of the decrease in net cases and the amount of Utahns tested, the overall positive test percentage slipped from 4.267 percent to 4.259 percent.

3.99 percent of Utahns tested for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours tested positive for the disease which is a decrease of the 4.7 percent of Utahns tested coming up positive the previous day.

There have now been 498 hospitalizations from COVID-19 in the Beehive State, an increase of 10 from the previous day.

There have been 5 new deaths attributed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing this total to 66 for Utah.

Four of the deaths were Salt Lake County residents and of those, three occurred at a long-term healthcare facility.

Three of the deaths were women over 60 and the fourth was a man over 60. The fifth death occurred in San Juan County and was a man under the age of 60.

Wasatch County incurred three new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 176. There remain 7 hospitalizations and one death. The death occurred April 10.
