Monday Stats For COVID-19 In Utah

SALT LAKE CITY-Monday, COVID-19 statistics were released for Utah by the Utah Department of Health.

Since statistics have been kept for COVID-19 in Utah, there have been 21,664 recorded cases of the virus. This represents an increase of 564 cases in the past 24 hours. It also represents a net increase of 92 in the same span.

There have been 12,205 recovered cases from COVID-19 in the Beehive State. This represents a net increase of 273 recoveries in the past 24 hours. This caused recoveries to “break even” from the same span as per Sunday’s data, 273 recoveries were also recorded.

Presently, there are 9,291 active cases from COVID-19 in Utah. This is an increase of 289 active cases in the past 24 hours and a net increase of 90 active cases in the same span. Currently, 42.88 percent of all COVID-19 cases in Utah are active.

There have been 333,905 total tests administered for COVID-19 in the Beehive State. This is an increase of 5,456 tests in the same span.

This caused the overall positive test percentage to slightly increase to 6.48 percent. The 24-hour positive test percentage increased to 10.3 percent Monday. It had been at 8.28 percent Sunday.

There have been 1,417 hospitalizations from COVID-19 in Utah since statistics began being kept. This represents a net increase of 21 hospitalizations in the past 24  hours.

However, the current hospitalizations only increased by one to 193. This drops the current hospitalization percentage to 13.62 percent.

Of greater importance, however, is the fact that current COVID-19 hospitalizations in ICU dropped by three to 80. This renders the current COVID-19 hospitalization ICU percentage to 41.4 percent. Sunday, this was at 43.22 percent.

There have been 168 deaths from COVID-19 in Utah since records began being kept. This is an increase of one but the nation’s leading death rate percentage dropped even lower, to 0.00775 percent.

Wasatch County saw six new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. This increases the net total to 406 cases of COVID-19 in Wasatch County since statistics began being kept.

Monday’s numbers saw Wasatch County drop to 20 hospitalizations from COVID-19 and the death total remained at three.

The most recent death in Wasatch County from COVID-19 occurred June 19.
