WASHINGTON CITY, Utah-A man is dead after being shot Thursday night per Washington City Police.

Officers were called to the residence of 342 E. Huntington Hill Drive at approximately 10:30 pm after hearing a report of gunshots in the area.

Upon their arrival, they discovered a man on the ground with a gunshot wound.

The man, whose name has not been released, was transported to Dixie Regional Medical Center of St. George where he later died.

Officers identified 32-year-old Bradley Hunt of Washington City in connection with the incident. He was booked into the Washington County Jail in Hurricane on investigation of murder, possession of a weapon by a restricted person, marijuana possession and paraphernalia.

No details were released on the cause of the incident or if the individuals knew each other.
