Lawmaker Pushes For Passage of Ten Commandments Bill

(Salt Lake City, UT) – A Republican lawmaker wants to see Utah pass a bill this session that would require all the state’s public schools to display the Ten Commandments. North Logan Representative Michael Petersen says HB269 would make it mandatory for school’s to display either a poster or a framed copy of the religious text. Texas lawmakers attempted to pass similar legislation but it failed to win approval last May.
