Environmental Groups Sue Over Bears Ear Decision

(Salt Lake City, UT) — A coalition of environmental groups is suing to stop the Trump administration from shrinking the size of the Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante national monuments. The White House wants to shrink the monuments by about three million acres and the groups are reviving a lawsuit from 2017, which was the last time President Trump decided to shrink the area. The Wilderness Society, the Sierra Club and others claim the president violated the Antiquities Act.
