(Salt Lake City, UT) — Governor Spencer Cox is announcing new fireworks restrictions as several fires burn across the state. Yesterday’s executive order bans the use of fireworks in most cases. But, it allows cities and towns to pick legal areas for fireworks. The executive order only applies to the three-day window when fireworks are legal in Utah: July 2nd through the 5th. The order basically gives local governments the ability to crack down as they see fit.
