Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Leaders Visit the Saints In Cairo

CAIRO-Various leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are visiting Church members in Cairo this week.

They include Elder Randy D. Funk of the Middle East/North Africa Area Presidency and his wife, Andrea, President Jean B. Bingham, the Church’s Relief Society general president, and her husband, Bruc, and Sister Sharon Eubank, the first counselor in the Relief Society general presidency, and the president of Latter-day Saint Charities.

Presently, in Cairo, there are two branches of the Church. One is an English-speaking branch and the other is an Arabic-speaking branch.

These Church leaders discussed various topics with the Latter-day Saints in Cairo, including the temple to be constructed at Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Cairo is 33 hours away from Dubai by car.
