SALT LAKE CITY-Sunday afternoon as the 191st semi-annual General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints concluded, Church President Russell M. Nelson made a special announcement for the Heber Valley.
As Pres. Nelson announced 13 new temples to be constructed, he confirmed the Heber Valley will be among the locations where a temple shall be built.
The location is unspecified at this present time.
The other 12 temples to be announced worldwide are the following:
-Kaohsiung, Taiwan
-Tacloban City, Philippines
-Monrovia, Liberia
-Kananga, Democratic Republic of the Congo
-Antananarivo, Madagascar
-Culiacan, Mexico
-Vitoria, Brazil
-La Paz, Bolivia
-Santiago West, Chile
-Fort Worth, Texas
-Cody, Wyoming
-Rexburg North Idaho
Pres. Nelson also confirmed reconstruction will commence on the Provo Utah Temple following the dedication of the Orem Utah Temple. Ground was broken on the Orem Utah Temple in September 2020.
