Six General Authorities Released

SALT LAKE CITY-Saturday afternoon, six general authorities of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints were released during the Salt Lake City-based faith’s 191st semi-annual General Conference.

Those released were:

Elder J. Devn Cornish (10 years of service in this capacity)

Elder Timothy J. Dyches (8 years of service in this capacity)

Elder David F. Evans (16 years of service in this capacity)

Elder Robert C. Gay (9 years of service in this capacity)

Elder James B. Martino (12 years of service in this capacity)

Elder Terence M. Vinson (8 years of service in this capacity)

While conducting these releases, Pres. Henry B. Eyring of the Church’s First Presidency noted the death of Elder Dean M. Davies who would have been released with the aforementioned brethren had he been living.
