SALT LAKE CITY-Carlos Perez connected on a 2nd Inning grand slam and the Las Vegas Aviators downed Salt Lake 10-6 Sunday at Smith’s Ballpark in Triple A-West play.

Jesus Luzardo earned the win on the mound for the Aviators in improving to 2-2 on the season.

Las Vegas improved to 36-34 with the win.

Taylor Ward had 3 RBI in defeat for the Bees, as they fell to 34-36.

The Aviators and Bees meet again Monday at 6:35 pm at Smith’s Ballpark.

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.-Rolando Martinez homered and the Grand Junction Rockies edged Ogden 5-4 at Suplizio Field Sunday in Pioneer League play.

Israel Fuentes earned the win on the mound for the Rockies, who improved to 32-23 with the victory.

Pavin Parks’ home run paced the Raptors in defeat as they fell to 32-24.

The Rockies and Raptors conclude their series Monday at 6:40 pm at Suplizio Field.
