SALT LAKE CITY-Arismendy Alcantara homered and the Sacramento River Cats downed Salt Lake 7-3 Monday at Smith’s Ballpark in Triple A-West play.

Norwith Gudino earned the win on the mound for Sacramento in his first appearance of the season, giving him a 1-0 record with the River Cats. Sacramento improved to 25-33 with the win.

Anthony Bemboom, Brandon Marsh and Jo Adell each had RBI in defeat for the Bees as they fell to 29-29.

The series concludes Tuesday at 6:35 pm at Smith’s Ballpark.

Pioneer League

OGDEN, Utah-Brandon Riley homered and the Missoula Paddleheads doubled up Ogden 4-2 Monday at Lindquist Field in Pioneer League play. Mason Schwellenbach earned the win on the mound for Missoula. The Paddleheads improved to 32-13 with the victory. Andy Armstrong had both RBI in the loss for the Raptors, dropping them to 28-17.

Ogden takes Tuesday off before visiting the Idaho Falls Chukars for a 3-game series Wednesday.
