Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest Gives Mirror Lake Highway Report

UINTA-WASATCH-CACHE NATIONAL FOREST, Utah-Utah S.R. 150, the Mirror Lake Highway, is  being worked on by UDOT as the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest confirmed Monday.

The labors are being performed between mileposts 48.40 and 54.74 and mileposts 16.00 and 25.48 through Thursday.

This is in Summit County but is used by many Wasatch County-based adventurers.

Both areas are presently reduced to one lane with flaggers and pilot cars assisting in moving people through the area when work is in place.

Drivers should pay close attention to flaggers, pilot trucks and signs in the area.

Crews will be finalizing the shouldering on S.R. 150 near the Wyoming-Utah border this week.

Crews will return to the area to apply a chip seal in the area the first week of August.

Work on the lower section of S.R. 150 is scheduled to begin July 14.

Work is underway from Monday-Thursday. All lanes will be open from Friday through Monday mornings.

The purpose of this construction is to create a better driving surface, address roadway deficiencies and improve roadway safety.

The project consists of rehabilitating the current pavement width with a mill and overlay of the currently paved surfaces, shoulder grading and installation of roadway signage, pavement marking and delineators.

All work, which will ultimately last through the autumn, will be done on the existing roadway.
